As a fresher to design, how should practice daily to improve my typography skills?
Short answer
A font can save a culture.
Long answer
Start with a single letterform. Not the alphabet, not a word. One letter. Then ask what else it could be. A wheelchair, a broken chair, a politician's chair. Do the same with a letter. Not just the version you already know, but what it carries, what it means, what it forgets.
The real practice is building a visual library. Give yourself freedom of expression, two or three words at a time. Make it an activity, not an assignment. Interaction is one of the very key factors. Over time, that daily exploration becomes something you can draw from when a real project demands it.
And remember: making our languages easier to type, easier to typeset, easier to read, makes them more beautiful to look at. That is not a small thing. It is, in fact, the whole thing.
